Subject: Re: bsdi trip failure
To simplify the problem further: Here's a file for initex which gives
wrong answers under BSDI. Both cmr10.tfm and tex.pool are correct, and
there aren't any other inputs, so the initex program is at fault.
\catcode`\{1\catcode`\}2\hsize6in\parfillskip0pt plus1fil\font\now=cmr10\now
\tracingcommands2\tracingstats2\tracingpages1\tracingoutput1
\tracinglostchars1\tracingmacros2\tracingparagraphs1\tracingrestores1
\showboxbreadth16383\showboxdepth16383
\output{\shipout\vbox{\unvbox255\hbox to\hsize{\hss X}}}%
X\vfill\par\penalty-10000\end
Log file attached. Again note the --32768. I'm now going to trace the
data within initex. Fun, fun, fun.
